The Makena Surf Resort has 105 luxurious units, in six two-story and three-story buildings constructed in three phases in 1984, 1989 and 1994. Of the 105 units around 68 are vacation rentals with a minimum of 5 days. The resort is situated on one of the most scenic beaches on the island, Po’olenalena also known as Paipu Beach, ideal for swimming and famous for its variety of tropical fish, sea turtles and tiny tidal pools.
